It's snowing and I suddenly have a burning desire to look up cookie recipes. To be fair, I'm always happy to look up cookie recipes, but it's nice to have an excuse.
But I can't decide. What do you think is the right cookie for a snowy day?
Not to be all self-promoting, but have you tried my oatmeal raisin and/or chocolate chip cookies? http://breadwinesalt.blogspot.com/2010/09/oatmeal-cookies-for-new-moms-and-others.html They're yummy and you can pretend you're being virtuous by eating oatmeal.
Chocolate chip cookies are always appropriate. But I think something spicy would also be good. Snickerdoodles, or oatmeal cookies with extra cinnamon, maybe?
Mmm, the oatmeal cookie recipe sounds great. It's very much like one I got from my mother-in-law, but this one sounds healthier. I note the absence of typical oatmeal cookie spices/flavorings (vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg)--this really does create a more pleasing oatty flavor.
